So yesterday I had the pleasure of going to The Detox Market and having a 60 Minute makeover. Besides being excited to play with makeup, I was even more excited that all the makeup was natural or organic.

I usually don’t go for fancy makeup looks and tend to stick to a pretty simple routine that has neutral pallets. However,  I always wanted to try the smokey eye look but never knew how to properly apply it. So I was very excited to try it out and learn the technique.

Their makeup artist Jenna did a beautiful smokey look and best of all she taught me how to properly use the products to achieve the look at home.

I got a lot of questions about what makeup was used so I’m linking every single product below.

EYES:

RMS Swift Eye Shadow: We used a blend SB-43, TT-71, TT-73, TR-97, TM-24 and uncover powder on the lid.

RMS Cake Liner : to line the corners of the eye.

Sappho Mascara (for the lower lids only).

Alima Pure Concealer: we used the colour “dew”. Honestly one of the best concealers I have tried. It is weightless and has a very smooth texture.

Plume Eyebrow Pomade: we used “ashy daybreak”. I will definitely be getting this one. Not only is it long-lasting and goes on smoothly; it also helps promote growth to fill in all those sparse spots in the brows.

FACE:

Kjaer Weis Foundation: we used “Like Porcelain” on the face and “Lightness” under the eyes. Very smooth and light foundation. But what I loved about it is the reusable/sustainable packaging. The first time you buy it you get a beautiful stainless steel case. Then all you need to do is buy refills which cost way less.

Kjaer Weis The Beautiful Face Oil: Now this is definitely a splurge with $300 price tag. But if you can afford it, it is soooo worth it.  It transforms and moisturizes the skin for that gorgeous glow. And since you only use a few drops, it will last a very long time.

Kjaer Weis Translucent Pressed Powder: Great product to finish off a flawless makeup look.

Alima Pure Pressed Foundation: we used it for contour in the “teak” colour.

Allima Pure Bronzer: For that dewy glow

LIPS:

Ilia Lipstick: we used the “Pink Cashmere” colour

Now it’s your turn to book your 30 minute or 60-minute makeup application at one of  The Detox Market   three locations. It is a perfect treat to get ready for a special event. But what’s even better is the education you get about green beauty products to avoid loading your skin with chemicals.

And now there is such a great variety of colours in natural beauty products that you will have no problems creating the look that you desire.

The cost of a makeup application and education is $35 for 30 minutes and $55 for 60 minutes. All you need to do is call the location you want (Toronto locations only) and book the appointment. Click here for the list of locations.

And feel free to drop me a line with any questions and let me know what natural beauty product is your fave.

Stay Fabulous Babes!
