Who doesn’t love to get away and spend a night in a hotel?!?!?!

It was exciting when I got invited to check out the newly renovated Fairfield Inn & Suites in Guelph Ontario. So I cleared my schedule, put my hubby and the kids in the car and off we went.

Personally I have never visited Guelph which is a quaint little town about an hour from Toronto so I was interested in relaxing and checking it out. As soon as we arrived to the hotel, we checked in with a very pleasant concierge and went up to our room.

We had a nice suite with a King size bed and a pull out sofa with a small kitchenette that has a fridge (and if you have kids you know how super important it is to have that for all the snacks).

The room felt very spacious and the bedroom felt very cozy. When I travel my biggest pet peeve are uncomfortable beds and pillows. And as usual I was a little apprehensive about how well I will sleep. Luckily I didn’t have to worry as the bed was super comfy and my neck didn’t hurt from the pillows (huge win in my books).

After checking in the kids were super excited to check out the pool which has an awesome slide. It’s very high and goes down super fast which was a huge hit not only with the kids but my hubby as well (boys will always be boys).

After swimming for hours we finally got ready and went out for dinner. And since we were starving we were happy to learn that there are lots of restaurants within 10 minute drive. Whether you want a chain restaurant or something a little more quaint it’s all nearby with lots to choose from.

In the morning Fairfield Inn & Suites serves complimentary breakfast, which is awesome.

There were lots to choose from inlcuding healthier options as well. I had scrambled eggs and fruit while my kids went crazy for a machine where you could make your own waffles and bake them on the spot. That was definitely a good touch.

To sum it up, we had a lot of fun. The hotel was super clean, staff is very friendly and if you need anything, someone will assist you right away.

It is a great hotel when you are on a budget but still want to have a great exprience, so check them out. With the awesome slide and a pool you may want to go there for a night so the kids could have fun. Mine are still talking about it and want to go back to the slide.

What’s your favourite staycation spot?

Maria, xoxo

Disclosure: I have partnered with Fairfield Inn & Suites however all opinions in the post are my own. And you know me, if I don’t love it, I don’t share it.
