With fall in full swing and weather getting colder and colder each day I refuse to put on winter jackets for as long as possible so my solution is layering.
I have many vests, scarfs and shawls that I like to layer over leather jackets or light coats. This way I can still have a cute looking outfit and as the day gets warmer I can take off the extra layer.
I also have quite an arsenal of big scarves which keep me warm. They also serve as a shawl when I take off my jacket or coat while inside. Then I just put it over my shoulders (especially if I have short sleeves underneath) and it keeps me warm.
Another idea is a vest which you can put over your leather jacket which makes the outfit look stylish and keep you warm at the same time. Best of all this works for jeans, dresses and skirts.
