Oil pulling is an ancient Ayurvedic method that has been around for hundreds of years. It involves swishing oil around your mouth for 15 mins daily to remove many toxins from the mouth as well as the body.
The way it works is the lipids in the oil break down as you swish it around, bind and stick with your saliva, thereby removing the toxins.
If you are intrigued, I challenge you to try it for a week to see if it makes a difference. Most people see results after a week. To do it, you will need extra virgin cold pressed (ideally organic) sesame seed, coconut, sunflower or olive oil. After you wake up in the morning take a tablespoon of the oil, place it in your mouth
and swish around for about 15 minutes. Be careful not to swallow, as by doing so you will be reabsorbing back the toxins. You will see that the oil turns white and viscous once you come close to the 15 minute mark. This is when you spit it out. Now about that; spit it in the garbage as I hear it can clog your drain when it hardens.
