I am super excited to tell you guys about a new teeth whitening treatment from Smile Brilliant that I tried.
Before I start, let me tell you about what I have tried in the past and what makes this treatment different.
To me, a white smile is one of my best accessories. And I always strive to keep my teeth nice and bright. Over the years I have tried countless treatments and some worked while others failed miserably. I have tried dental whitening treatments, whitening strips as well as various home whitening kits and while most succeeded in whitening my top teeth, only the dental treatment was able to whiten my bottom teeth.
But finally I have found a treatment that works on bottom teeth as well. Woohoo!!!
What’s different about the Smile Brilliant treatment are the custom fitted whitening trays. When you order from them they send you a full kit with special paste and trays as well as the whitening treatments with which you make your dental impressions with. Then you send it back to them to make the custom trays.
The custom fitted trays arrived quickly and I started the treatment. I have sensitive teeth so I went with the sensitive teeth kit which meant that I had the special gel to put on my teeth after the whitening. And let me tell you, it helped soooo much. I usually get super sensitive teeth within a day or two after I whiten and with this special gel I only got sensitivity around day 7 and even then it was super mild and didn’t disrupt me in any way. It was only slightly more sensitive to hot and cold.
The treatment is recommended for about 14 days and to be kept on from 45 min to 3 hours. However, since my teeth were still pretty white ( I usually do a whitening treatment once a year) I did it for 10 days and left it on anywhere from 45-75 mins every day (mainly due to my sensitivity).
It was super easy to do as all I had to do was put the trays in with the gel, pop it in my mouth and then I went about doing what I needed to do.
Since I am a health fanatic I loved the fact that the trays keep all the gel in and you do not end up swallowing any of it (which always made me paranoid with other whitening treatments).
So after 10 days I definitely saw results. My top teeth were whiter and brighter. But the best result was on my bottom teeth. All the whitening treatments that I tried never really covered the bottom teeth or the teeth further in the back.
