Confidence….self assurance in one’s abilities and qualities.
Hi lovelies, I wanted to speak up about this topic for a while as I have met incredible women with so much to offer who have very little confidence in themselves, and that breaks my heart.
Confidence is super important to have and yet many doubt their natural born abilities and strengths. Whether it’s due to upbringing or through experiences. So I decided to share my top 7 tips to boost your confidence that you can implement right away. These are the tips that I use myself whenever I don’t feel super confident (and yes even confident people will face those moments too…after all we are all human).
Smile. When you smile you not only feel better and more self assured; others around you immediately feel your presence and feel more at ease.
Do something every morning that makes you feel like a million bucks. Weather it’s putting makeup, doing your hair or dressing nice. Do it EVERY.SINGLE.MORNING….even if that means getting up a little earlier. Trust me, it’s worth it.
Speak to yourself in a positive voice. However you treat yourself is exactly the way that others will treat you.
Watch you posture. When you walk, pull your shoulders back and tighten your core; that alone will make a change in the way you feel; in the same way that slouching makes you feel less confident. Experiment with different postures and see how it effects the way you feel about yourself.
De-clutter both physical and emotional clutter. Tidy up your house and immediately you will feel lighter and happier. If you want to go a step further, go through your emotions and see what’s on your mind. The best way to clear up your emotional clutter is to write it all down and then make actionable steps to deal with those emotions.
Always remember that there is no such thing as perfection. What tends to get us down is when we believe that what we are doing or how we look has to be perfect. NOBODY IS PERFECT!!!!! Regardless of what people portray on social media, EVERYONE has issues. If you will strive for perfection, you will never be happy.
Do what you love and love what you do. When you are happy your confidence soars and you become unstoppable and ready to face life head on. Always choose happiness.
Celebrate the small stuff. We tend to get into a rat race of getting to the finish line with the project, life, family, goals, etc that we forget to stop and smell the flowers and celebrate how far we have come. When you celebrate small accomplishments you become more confident in your abilities and in turn you will become way more likely to achieve your goals.
As always I would love to hear from you. Please share if you tried any of the above tips and whether or not they worked for you. And of course if you have other tips, I would love to hear them as well.
Stay fabulous!
Maria xoxo
