With the hot weather and long days, bring on the outdoor fun! My favourite way to spend a summer day is at the beach or by the pool having fun with family and friends.
That also entails having my must have’s in my beach bag ready to go on a moment’s notice…..because I’m always ready for the beach.
#1 Everyone needs a fabulous beach bag. What I look for in a beach bag is functionality. It has to be sturdy. You don’t want a bag that will ruin when it gets wet or full of sand (I’m definitely not the most careful person). I like my beach bags to be colourful…..it’s just more fun that way. It also has to be large enough to fit all my stuff…since I pack EVERYTHING. The one in the picture is from Just Fab and was only $40
#2 Have an awesome bathing suit. When I buy a bathing suit my main concern is how comfortable I am in it. We are all perfectly imperfect, so a bathing suit that makes you feel fabulous is a must. I tend to prefer string bikinis as I can tie them as tight or loose as needed so they don’t cut me off in all the weird places. My second choice is a bikini that has wide sides that also don’t cut into your skin. My favourite bathing suits are from Shan Swimwear. My fave bargain bathing suits are from H&M.
#3 Next is a cover up that is versatile. I love cover ups that I can wear to a beach or pool side café and still look cute. Shan Swimwear, H&M and Old Navy have great fun cover ups. Since I’m pretty careless with all my beach wear I do not like to spend a lot of money on those pieces since they get ruined quickly (sunscreen, salt water, chlorine).
#4 I also NEVER leave home without sunscreen. Protecting your skin is super important, not only for the health of your skin but for the beauty of it as well, since the sun is the first thing that ages the skin. #5 Continuing with the sunscreen; it is also very important to protect your lips. They are very delicate therefore easy to burn. Hurraw brand lip balms are my favourite.
