Oh how I love vacations! Nothing energizes me more than a fun filled trip away. It’s one of those luxuries in life that are absolutely necessary.
This time I needed sun, heat and a white sandy beach. Bahamas has always been one of my favourite places to go and since I love large resorts Atlantis Paradise Island was the perfect choice.
Whatever you have heard or seen about this resort; it’s even better in real life. It resembles a magical castle situated between the lush tropics built on the premise of the lost city of Atlantis. No detail is overlooked and the customer service is impeccable.
From the moment I arrived until the moment I left I felt pampered.
If you are like me and get bored easily being in the same place for an entire week this is the place for you. It has everything you need and more, from the extensive grounds and massive waterpark to the world renowned spa. You name it, they have it.
There are also many dining options to choose from regardless of your taste and budget. From pizzeria and buffets to well known restsaurants, Nobu and Olives. There’s something for even the pickiest eater. They also have dining plans that make it cheaper to eat on property. Personally when travelling as a family I always go for the meal plan as it ends up being cheaper than if I didn’t have it.
And when you get bored (if you ever do) of the beach and the many swimming pools you can always do some shopping at Gucci, Versace or any other fab shops. Not into shopping…no problem, try your luck at the casino, enjoy a stroll at the beautiful marina or check out “The Dig” with the most amazing aqauriums.
Atlantis is by far my most favourite place to stay in the Bahamas.
In terms of price there are a variety of options to choose from as every tower has different rooms and suites and they are priced accordingly. But even their base rooms are still finished very nicely and you get to experience all the amenities of the resort.
And best of all there are aquariums everywhere; with sharks, stingrays and all sorts of tropical fish. It gives the place a very special feel. And what I love about their marine life is that Atlantis focuses on preserving their natural habitat rather than just using them for display.
The property is situated on the most gorgeous white sandy beaches with clear blue waters and powder white sand. I could write a small novel about everything you can do at the hotel but don’t want to bore you. Also it’s best to experience it in person. And if you have any questions about the resort comment below and I’ll be sure to answer.
As always, stay fabulous!
Maria, xoxo
